Dimensions
Dimensions is a journey of the imagination that begins in a room with a favorite red chair and moves across space and time to the far reaches of the cosmos. My image making is grounded in the New England landscape, but I am drawn to digital imagery as avenue into the mental pictures that tumble around in our heads. I began this work following the movement of light and shadows cast by the low-angle winter sun. The solar rays, energy/particle packets from afar, reminded me that much of what I know, or think I know, is beyond my physical experience. My imagination moved me beyond the literal world to the edge of knowing as I began making, deconstructing, and mixing images in a virtual bardo. My image making brought abstract and narrative elements together and stretched the limits of the artistic process and the concept of certainty and doubt. Over time I came to see that knowing is never fixed and that meaning is constantly evolving and unfolding.

First Place - Fly Away by Bill Gore is infused with vibrant energy, it’s hues rising from earth tones to cerulean skies and solar yellows. Dazzling silhouetted birds in flight appear to be breaking out of a translucent box in a soaring proclamation of freedom.
